GGPAC is entirely financed through fundraising and donations. 100% of funds raised go towards finding responsible, loving homes for rescued Spanish Podencos and Galgos and to continue support of retired racing Greyhounds.

The Maritime Doggie EXPO is an annual event that brings together pet businesses and rescue groups with dog owners and enthusiasts, allowing them to interact and raise awareness and promote dog health and wellness. All funds raised are for GGPAC to support finding loving homes for rescued Spanish Podencos and Galgos and for the legacy support of GPAC Greyhounds adopted throughout Atlantic Canada.
The EXPO was started in 1996 by GPAC as an annual meet and greet in Uniacke, NS with over 200 Greyhounds and just a few vendors. The event evolved into larger annual pet EXPOs at Lake Echo starting in 2010 and then growing sufficiently to move to the RBC Centre in Dartmouth. Post pandemic, in 2023 and 2024, the Maritime Doggie EXPOs were hugely successful with over 80 vendors each year and over 1,000 visitors (many bringing their dogs along too!)
